Good evening respected guests, dear teachers, colleagues, friends, and students,

I am Neha Sharma, and it gives me immense joy to welcome you all to this special occasion where we pause to honor and appreciate the people who inspire us—our role models. This gathering is not just about words of praise; it is about celebrating the impact of individuals who shape our lives, guide our choices, and encourage us to become better versions of ourselves.

The purpose of today’s gathering is simple yet powerful: to recognize the importance of role models and to express our gratitude for the values they instill in us. Whether it is a teacher, a parent, a leader, or even a friend, role models show us the way not by preaching but by living as examples.

I would like to share a short story. During my school days, I struggled with public speaking. It was my English teacher, Mr. Arvind, who encouraged me to face my fear. He said, “Neha, the world needs your voice—don’t silence it out of doubt.” Those words still echo in my heart and shaped me into the person standing before you today. That is the power of a role model—the power to change someone’s life with courage, kindness, and belief.

आज की इस सभा का उद्देश्य बहुत सरल है—आदर्श व्यक्तित्वों के महत्व को पहचानना और उनके प्रति कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करना। चाहे वह कोई शिक्षक हो, माता-पिता हों, कोई नेता हो या मित्र—आदर्श व्यक्ति हमें उपदेश से नहीं, बल्कि अपने जीवन के उदाहरण से रास्ता दिखाते हैं।

आदर्श व्यक्ति का अर्थ केवल प्रसिद्ध या शक्तिशाली होना नहीं है। कई बार यह माँ की मौन शक्ति होती है, शिक्षक का धैर्य, सहकर्मी की ईमानदारी, या मित्र का साहस। उन्हें आदर्श बनाता है उनकी परिपूर्णता नहीं, बल्कि उनकी प्रेरणा, उनके मूल्य और उनका सच्चा जीवन जीने का तरीका।

मुझे अपने विद्यालय का एक अनुभव याद है। मैं सार्वजनिक भाषण से डरती थी। मेरे अंग्रेज़ी शिक्षक अरविंद सर ने मुझे प्रोत्साहित किया और कहा—“नेहा, दुनिया को तुम्हारी आवाज़ की ज़रूरत है—संदेह के कारण इसे मत दबाओ।” उनके ये शब्द आज भी मेरे हृदय में गूंजते हैं और मुझे इस मंच तक लाए हैं। यही एक आदर्श का प्रभाव है—साहस, विश्वास और दयालुता से किसी का जीवन बदल देना।

आदर्श हमें यह सिखाते हैं कि महानता असाधारण होने में नहीं, बल्कि साधारण जीवन को साहस, निरंतरता और करुणा के साथ जीने में है। सच्चा नेतृत्व अधिकार से नहीं, बल्कि आदर्श आचरण और प्रेरणा से होता है।

मित्रों, हमें यह भी याद रखना चाहिए कि जैसे हम दूसरों को आदर्श मानते हैं, वैसे ही हम भी किसी के लिए आदर्श बन सकते हैं। एक बच्चा अपने माता-पिता को, एक विद्यार्थी अपने शिक्षक को, और एक सहकर्मी आपके धैर्य को देखकर प्रेरित हो सकता है।

आज जब हम अपने आदर्श व्यक्तित्वों की सराहना कर रहे हैं, तो हमें यह संकल्प लेना चाहिए कि हम भी उनके मूल्यों को आगे बढ़ाएँगे। हम सत्यनिष्ठा से जिएँगे, अपने कर्मों से प्रेरणा देंगे, और समाज में सकारात्मक बदलाव की लहर पैदा करेंगे।
