Good morning/afternoon respected guests, teachers, and dear friends,

I am Ananya Mehta, and it is a pleasure to welcome you all to this gathering today. We are here to discuss a leadership style that goes beyond authority, titles, and power—a style rooted in empathy, service, and genuine care: servant leadership.

Servant leadership is about putting others first, prioritizing the growth and well-being of people, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Unlike traditional leadership that focuses on hierarchy, servant leaders focus on serving their team, fostering collaboration, and inspiring others to reach their fullest potential. As Mr. Rajiv Sharma, our esteemed mentor, often says, “The best leaders are those who serve first, and lead second.”

The purpose of today’s gathering is to highlight the importance of serving others as a path to effective leadership. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our organizers, particularly Ms. Priya Kapoor, and to all participants who make sessions like this possible. Your presence reinforces the idea that leadership is not about personal gain but about uplifting others.

Dear friends, servant leadership teaches humility, patience, and empathy. A servant leader listens actively, supports their team during challenges, and celebrates their achievements sincerely. Whether in schools, offices, or communities, servant leaders inspire trust, loyalty, and long-term success. They understand that leadership is not about exerting power, but about enabling others to shine.

As we strive to embrace servant leadership, let us remember that true leaders empower, encourage, and elevate those around them. In the words of Robert K. Greenleaf, “The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first.” By adopting this mindset, we can create workplaces, communities, and societies that are compassionate, inclusive, and productive.

सुप्रभात/नमस्कार आदरणीय अतिथिगण, शिक्षकगण और प्रिय मित्रों,

मैं अनन्या मेहता हूँ और आज इस सभा में आप सभी का हार्दिक स्वागत करते हुए मुझे अत्यंत खुशी हो रही है। हम आज एक ऐसे नेतृत्व शैली पर चर्चा करने के लिए एकत्रित हुए हैं, जो केवल पद या शक्ति पर आधारित नहीं है, बल्कि सहानुभूति, सेवा और सच्चे आत्मीयता पर आधारित है: सेवा भाव से नेतृत्व (Servant Leadership)।

सेवा भाव से नेतृत्व का अर्थ है दूसरों को प्राथमिकता देना, उनकी भलाई और विकास को महत्व देना, और ऐसा वातावरण तैयार करना जिसमें हर व्यक्ति मूल्यवान और सशक्त महसूस करे। पारंपरिक नेतृत्व जहां पदानुक्रम और सत्ता पर जोर देता है, वहीं सेवा भाव से नेतृत्व में नेता अपनी टीम की सेवा करता है, सहयोग को बढ़ावा देता है और दूसरों को उनकी पूरी क्षमता तक पहुँचने के लिए प्रेरित करता है। जैसा कि हमारे मार्गदर्शक श्री राजीव शर्मा अक्सर कहते हैं, “सर्वश्रेष्ठ नेता वही हैं जो पहले सेवा करें, और फिर नेतृत्व करें।”

आज की सभा का उद्देश्य यह समझना है कि दूसरों की सेवा करना ही प्रभावी नेतृत्व की कुंजी है। मैं आयोजकों, विशेष रूप से सुश्री प्रिया कपूर, और सभी प्रतिभागियों का हृदय से धन्यवाद करता हूँ, जिन्होंने इस सभा को संभव बनाया। आपकी उपस्थिति यह सिद्ध करती है कि नेतृत्व व्यक्तिगत लाभ के लिए नहीं, बल्कि दूसरों को ऊँचाइयों तक पहुँचाने के लिए होता है।

प्रिय मित्रों, सेवा भाव से नेतृत्व हमें विनम्रता, धैर्य और सहानुभूति सिखाता है। एक सेवा भाव से नेता सक्रिय रूप से सुनता है, टीम को चुनौतियों में समर्थन देता है और उनकी उपलब्धियों का सच्चे दिल से जश्न मनाता है। चाहे वह स्कूल हो, ऑफिस हो या समाज, ऐसे नेता विश्वास, वफादारी और दीर्घकालिक सफलता को प्रेरित करते हैं। वे समझते हैं कि नेतृत्व सत्ता दिखाने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि दूसरों को चमकने का अवसर देने के लिए होता है।

जैसा कि हम सेवा भाव से नेतृत्व अपनाने का प्रयास करते हैं, आइए हम याद रखें कि सच्चे नेता दूसरों को सशक्त बनाते हैं, प्रोत्साहित करते हैं और अपने कार्यों के माध्यम से उन्हें ऊँचाइयों तक पहुँचाते हैं। रॉबर्ट के. ग्रीनलीफ के शब्दों में, “The servant-leader is servant first… यह उस प्राकृतिक भावना से शुरू होता है कि कोई सेवा करना चाहता है, पहले सेवा करना।” इस मानसिकता को अपनाकर हम एक ऐसा समाज और कार्यस्थल बना सकते हैं, जो दयालु, समावेशी और उत्पादक हो।
